well, i posted it for people who specifically want shuffle 1st gen, either to get an extra one or to replace an older one, i would get on but mine's in pretty good shape.

if you just want any mp3 player... for example a 1st gen nano should only be around $50 - $60 used, and many other brands out there.

but for those who love the shuffle (and if you can use google check out), ya i'd say its worth it.

This player is such a fotm. It does sound a lot better than my Creative zen, not sure if it is "amazing" though.

I had to do some looking to track down a 1st gen shuffle, the reports on the sound quality had me convinced I'd be happier with this over the 2nd gen shuffle.

Check craigslist, I found mine in incredible condition, it was only $30.

It is really an amazing sounding MP3. The best of the ipods I have tried by a wide margin. It is really worth it.
