I recently purchased the PK1's just wondering what amp people recommend that is portable, some what affordable and good sounding?

I really like the PK1s with the mini^3. I've certainly not heard all that's out there, but I don't see how you can go wrong with this combo.

Just wondering, I'd assume with PK1's you'd want to go with a gain of 5 for the M3 right?

Actually I'm wondering about that too... I don't know which gain to go with for my PK1s..

The Yuin Minibox-E is also a good match, according to some here. I ordered one, so I hope so.

After testing the headsix, I directly doing a short comparison with my D1, and my D1 soundstage feel distant, and the atmosphere colder compared to headsix, more like sitting alone in a lounge.

Make sure its got a warm sonic signiture. Otherwise the PK1's can sound hollow to my ears... the m^3 should be a good choice, its really underrated around here, on par with amps that cost quite a bit more.

Just to clarify though... how much does the Mini^3 cost? I hear $125 from some and $110-$115 other times... Are there any other builders other than Rockhopper?
