Artist names that begin with the word THE aren't put with other artists that begin with 'T', but instead put with whatever letter that starts the second word of the artist name is.
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER is listed with artists that begin with 'B'.

The same goes for artists that begin with the word A.
A STATIC LULLABY is listed with artists that begin with 'S'.

Here's were it gets really crazy.
AS I LAY DYING is listed with artists that begin with 'I'.


I guesss i'll have to try renaming everything so artists are in their proper place.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER ---> T. BLACK DAHLIA MURDER
A STATIC LULLABY ---> AA STATIC LULLABY
AS I LAY DYING ---> AsILayDying

hopefully that'll work.

Oh, and I really wish that SharePod worked on my computer/iPod. I'm using foopod for file transfering, which I fear cuts off more of the tag name than necessary.

For me As I Lay Dying sorts into its proper place with the A's

Bands with a The sort with the start of the next word
The Faint sorts with the F's

Having all artist names starting with "the" under T would be more umpractical then how it is now..

Gotta agree. It makes more sense that The Smashing Pumpkins falls under S for Smashing that T for The. Imagine scrolling through 50 band names that start with the word The like I have to with my iriver? It's a major pain to scroll through all of that.

under artists, you are right. but under albums, it does list "The" and "A" bands in the right places. "The Smiths" in artists is under S, and in albums is under T. Annoying.
