ipod movies and podcasts.... (help a n00b)

ok so what kind of files does ur ipod accept as movie files?

i tried to drag and drop some avi files or mpeg but they arent working, so what files do work and is there a program i can get to convert my d/l movies into compatible files.


also with podcasts... i dont get how they work?

lol, please help me im a new ipod owner and cant wait to get the best out of it.

You need mp4 or h.264 video files (they're also listed on Apples site). There are plenty of translation software. iSquint is a good one on the Mac, check iLounge for a list of apps for PC.

For Windows, I use Videora, it's very noob-friendly (walk you through step-by-step) and it even does YouTube!
