Should I be considering this kind of thing?

Previously I've had a NJB3, which has since had its screen fail. I have been out of the PAD scene for a while now, and have just started reading up on what I've missed.

I have a Headroom Total Airhead that I used to use with my NJB3 and ety ER6's. These days, however, my on-the-move listening has been poor MP3's from a PSP to my Ety ER6's. I'm getting a little sick of these mp3's.

So I've been experimenting with lossless codecs and such, and then wondered what my options were regarding lossless and portable, then found Rockbox. I hate the iPod scene in general, but the redwine mod looks very promising

So, my question is, would it be worth it to buy a g4 ipod in the states via ebay, have it shipped to redwine then back down under? Keep in mind the amp it'll be seeing 90% of its action with is my Total Airhead and a the following:-

Equinox HD590
Equinox HD600
Etymotic ER-6.

Go for it... in my opinion nothing else on the market even comes close to an iModded 4G running Rockbox!
