mentioned this product in the cables and tweaks forum. I thought it might be of interest here because it seems like you might be able to reterminate it with a mini plug and use it to connect an iPod to a portable amp. This is cheaper than the Sik Din and allows for fewer things in the signal chain from iPod -> amp.

This is pretty pointless. If I am going to patch in to a home stereo with RCA cables, I'm going to have access to a power plug, and I'm going to want to run the iPod off the wall instead of the battery. I'd pay the extra ten bucks and get a pocket dock with lineout.
