iTunes says update complete but the iPod says do not disconnect. I disconnect anyway because the disconnect warning never goes away until I disconnect. Is this a problem with my iPod or a general iPod problem. I don't notice any damage.

Any comments greatly appreciated.

If you have your iPod set for manual syncing, you need to eject the ipod just like you eject a disk before you undock it. If you have it automatically syncing, it will automatically eject it when it's done.

It seems like when I used my iPod I always had to eject it in iTunes. I'm sure it's supposed to automatically eject if you're using the Auto Update, but I don't think mine ever did.

Many thanks for the replies. An odd thing happened today. My iPod Nano automatically disconnected! Are you guys sure you didn't use some telepathic fix! If you did I'm eternally grateful.
