Here are a couple neoprene cases that would work great with the iPod:

A pair of Etys will fit, too

I think jrhill lacks both protection and style. I'm waiting for the waterfield designs.

Right now, I keep my ipod in a little pouch made from a soft t-shirt.. It really only protects it from fingerprints and scratches. It actually seems to polish the thing when it's in there. I also like it because I can push the buttons through my pants. I can even spin the volume control through the pouch. How can the iPod be one hand operated if I need two hands to open up the case?

I use a Case Logic one similar to the first one in the post. I use for hiking and outside stuff. In the house I have a Headroom MD bad w/airhead and HD 600's. The J & R Hill pouch style one isn't too, bad

Waterfield is going to make an iPod case??? *THAT* should be the end-all, be-all in iPod cases

Who is waterfield?

Jamie

NEVER MIND

I found their website http://www.sfbags.com The guy who designs those bags is good. They look great and, if the testimonials are to be believed, they work great as well. Sadly I have no money for a case be it jrhill or waterfield.

I've actually seen some Waterfield bags in person (I live in SF). They're top-notch products. Very well made, and they look good, too.

the incase mp3 pouch fits the ipod like a glove,
is well constructed, and looks good.

http://store.yahoo.com/goincase/mp3pouch.html

is made of fairly thick neoprene, with a soft felt lining
to keep those nasty scratches off the ipod.
it's hard to see in the pictures, but their is a nice
rubbery grip material along the side. the buckle
secures it nicely to a belt and it also let's you
attach it to the strap on a messenger/shoulder
bag, which is what i do. hey, style counts too. =)
