I am going to do this myself, but I was wondering if anyone had actually done any real testing of how different features drain the battery. For example:

Backlight - Off vs. 2 Seconds vs. Always On
EQ - Off vs. On
Volume - High vs. Medium vs. Off (using an amp)
File size and type - 320K vs. 256K, 192K, etc. AAC vs. MP3 at the same bit rate and file size?

Just wanted to see if anyone had actually done any extensive testing.

I ran a test of my Ipod Nano 4gb with and without the new Apple Radio Remote.

Nano playing 128K mp3s shuffle repeat all --- 15 hours

Nano playing 128K mp3s shuffle repeat all using Radio Remote --- 14.5 hours

I ran this test because the only tests I saw for the Radio Remote were for the radio (around 8 hours).

BTW, the remote is great. It uses the same kind of control as the Ipod Shuffle. During jogging or vigorous workouts, this type of control is easy to use versus the "wheel".
