Hi

All Classic owners, have you guys tried to use the alarm feature?

With my 5.5g I used to rely heavily on it to wake me up, and the classic alarm doesnt work!

I set it to 6.30am and it's docked in the official iPod Dock and nothing happens, no music, no beep.

It was working last week or so, but for some strange reason has stopped!

Plz Help!

I have also tried it whilst it was plugged into headphones and other various combinations and still nothing!

I remember hearing about a bug with the alarm, but I'm not sure what it entailed. I would search the Apple forums if there are any solutions.

when did you do the firmware upgrade (if you did)?

I've done the firmware upgrade the day it came out (16/09).

I am not sure what is wrong with it, but I really need to get it fixed!

Do you know if the alarm is suppose to just beep for a couple seconds than go to the dismiss/snooze screen. I have a new 8G nano and this is what happens as well.

I made a play list with one song in it, than selected the playlist through alarms instead of choosing a beep, and the beep still plays while no song does....

Hmm dont think you are alone in this.

Ahh, just found out I need a dock for playlists ?

Do you know if you can make the alarm (beep) play without the dock nonstop...? My beep only plays for a couple seconds.
