iPhones vs iPod Touch Counterpart (Audio Quality)

I was just wondering if there is a difference in audio output quality between an iPhone and its iPod counterpart (ex. iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th gen)? By this, I mean output through the audio jack and not the inbuilt speakers.
