I have the DFR and I've noticed that it sounds better on my iPad Pro than my iPhone X and MUCH better on my MacBook Pro than my iPhone X.

I'm using shure se535s.

if I plug these same headphones directly into my MacBook Pro, they sound amazing. way better than in my DFR on my iPhone.

is there something I'm missing or should be paying attention to? I've try apple music, Spotify, and tidal.

is anyone else having this problem?

This is what I was thinking. Any suggestions or should I switch to a battery powered DAC?

Finally figured this out. Somehow mono audio had gotten turned on in general>accessibility. I have no idea how long it's made my music sound like crap
