Dear members
Apologise if this has been covered, but the reason why I use android is that sound reaches full potential with poweramp. Even AAC 256 Kbs sound better that the ones in tidal hifi (to my ears)
When I first tried the S7 edge with Exynos chip, I was surprised and found that sound was superior. Since the, I have owned LG V10, HTC 10, and I also have a Xiaomi mi max (I had a very loud and clear meizu pro but I could not mange to use its hifi dac option with poweramp as it was only useful with the native music app) . All of them with superior sound than my last iPhone 6s Plus. I believe that iPhone has an excellent dac but perhaps it does not reach its full potential because there is no similar Poweramp app.
Wonder if I am missing something
I may switch back to iPhone 8 this year but if sound is inferior I will not do it
(I had tested ACC Kbs vs FLAC and could not notice significantl difference)
I have Phillips fidelio l2 headphones and audioquest nighthawk
When at home, I use Just a Marshall Stanmore, so I am not very high end user. I may upgrade my marshall to a better option in the future.
Your help is appreciated
