I've discussed this on a couple of other threads and was wondering if anyone else cared to share their thoughts.

I realize there are other threads discussing solid replacement bud options and was hoping for a more general discussion concerning the importance of the mic.

It certainly is handy, but are you sacrificing sound quality?

My main comparison is between the Nuforce NE-7m and the Yuin PK3. Both come highly recommended and the price difference is not vast.

Can anyone who has heard/owned both pairs compare on the difference?

Anyone else with thoughts or suggestions is more than encouraged to add them.

I don't think having a mic has anything to do with SQ. I think the main difference is the NE-7M's are IEMS and the PK3 is an earbud, if I'm not mistaken.. so that's a worthwhile difference right there. I think your decision should depend on if you want something in your ear, or just kinda resting on the outside more or less.
