I am about to go on a cruise and want to bring along my AKG 701s and music.
I have an RSA Predator. I have an iPhone. I have a docking harness to output digitally from the iPhone to the Predator. And I have a ton of my music already ripped lossless to a portable hard drive, [size=11pt]a Hitachi Slim Line G1 that is already formatted for Mac[/size] from a while back when I was considering buying a Bryston BDP-1. So what I am missing right now is some type of interface that can manage the contents of a portable hard drive. Correct me if I am mistaken, but the iPod software in my iPhone will not run an outboard hardrive, right? Is there an app I can download to my iPhone? If not, what is my best, least expensive and easiest (simplest) option? Sorry, I am sure this a mundane and easy question for most of you. I have not been keeping up on portable headphone audio lately.
