It's been a while since I posted here. Anyhow I had a pair of se210 I got as a gift and lost them

I alwas felt they where not that clear on the top end but loved the fit with the black sticky foamy ends and the short cable to use wiht the iphone 3g, much more confortable than my er4p. So do I get the same thing, maybe soe se310 instead or is there something else I should try?

What matches the 3g the best I see they have some new stuff with the mic, does this effect sound, i did like the short cord of the 210 and it looks like the 310 do not have that?

They'll work fine, all the Shure se series have a short cord, but come with extensions. If you want a mic and/or control button, look in to the Shure MPA.

Don't pay MSRP for any of the low end Shures though, they can be had for less.

Other than the SE420, Shures tend towards a warmer, less bright sound, so if you dislike that you may not like the brand.
