Out of all the iPads out right now do any of them match in quality with the iPod Classic 5th gen DAC or iPod nano or 7th gen nano DAC. Thanks!

I think they're all better, at least from gen 2 on.

The iPad1 lack a bit of body but I only notice that when back-to-back vs the iPad2 (I wouldn't discount placebo - test wasn't extensive and differences weren't easy to detect). Both however do a lot better with treble than my S3, which sounds a little dark by comparison, especially on the IEMs I use (Aurisonics ASG-1). Bass was also better controlled.

Ipad Air, hands down best sound I've ever heard.

Even against the iPod Video 5.5gen or 7th gen. Reason I mentioned those is those two iPods are generally considered to be the best sounding. That and the nano 7th gen

Haven't heard a V5 in a while but definitely better than the 7th.
