The Story behind the EM3, FiiO’s first open earbuds
After the M3 was launched to market, we received a lot of positive feedback from experienced headphone hi-fi enthusiasts regarding the quality of the bundled earbuds, and lots of suggestions for us to launch the earbuds separately from the M3. Thus it was that the EM3 open earbuds were born, which you should now know for certain are based on the earbuds bundled with the M3.
 

I knew it!  I hadn't seen this post yet, but I happened to be on FiiO's web site and saw the announcement there of the EM3 and I thought... "Those look SUSPICIOUSLY FAMILIAR..."  I went to my M3 box where I pulled out the ear buds I had never bothered to even pull out of the plastic.... thinking they probably weren't all that great... and sure enough, they looked SO similar and so I put them on and was so pleasantly surprised at them!  Bravo, FiiO!  It's part of why you keep getting my money and I barely bought my first FiiO device back in December I and already have E6, E07K, E18, M3, and X1 already... Big fan here!
