The op-amp doesn't heat up and the sound is great. Now I have to get onto hooking up the components..

I've hooked up the power switch but am having trouble with the jacks. I can't seem to figure out which is ground, left or right..It seems a bit confusing. Can i get some help, please?

Without you this project would probably take me ages

EDIT: I just went ahead and soldered the bugger up, and it works!

I just wanna express a huge thank you to all those who helped me out with my first DIY project, especially Fred_fred2004 for answering all my basic questions and nsx_23 with his thread sourcing all the components in Aus.
Now I have to find some casing to case the little amp up. Anyone in Aus with any ideas where to get a nice case? I've been scouring supermarkets, op-shops and asian grocers but can't seem to find anything suitable.

Ok, last step i think: the pot. Just making sure, with the two photos, is "right-in" input 1, "left-in" is input 2, "right" is wiper 1, and "left" is wiper 2? The ground is quite obvious. Oh wait, or is it wiper one and wiper two that are "right-in" and "left-in" ?

The wipers are R.in and L.in on your picture and go to the input capacitors.
Input 1 & 2 are left and right connected to the input jack.

It doesn't matter which is used for right and left as long as you are consistant. so input 1 can be RIGHT from the jack and wiper 1 can be R.in to the Amplifier. Similarly Input 2 will be LEFT from the jack and wiper 2 will be L.in tothe amp.

hope that makes sense it's early

Hey guys, so I've been looking around for a tin of some sort but everywhere in Australia sells their lollies in packets and the such, sucks. And I'm quite desperate to case-up my cmoy.

Plus I don't think I'll be able to go down to the sweet shop fred_fred recommended because it's just way too far from where I live.

So does anyone in Aus have any tin case-like-thing lying around that they don't need? I could buy it off you or something..

Cheers

If I come across one, I'll just mail it to you. It only coast in the area of $13.00 US to send one to Australia. Not a huge expense for large amount of creativity and new found knowledge.

*I just asked my company to send any my way. Two of them landed on my desk in a matter of five minutes. PM me your address and I'll send them out this week.

You can pick up Altoids Tins around Perth, just not in the supermarkets.
Try this link Store Directory Ye Olde Lolly Shoppe in the Carillion Arcade opposite Dirt Cheap CD'S.

You can also get them cheaper from the sweet shop at the weekend markets in Malaga or maybe Freo markets(haven't been for a while).

Cheers Forte for that, I'll have to go into the city one day and visit that store, I know exactly where you're talking about.

However, fred_fred has already kindly helped me out with an enclosure
