They're selling like hot cakes, but it should be available soon.
Thanks for the reply. But that many people experience DC offset? To my knowledge, it's not that common. But i could be wrong.

Is DC offset harmful to your equipment? Also, does it occur only when you hear the buzzing or at any point in time?

Our DC Blocker by design is safe to use, so if you can connect it before your power strip to spread its effect across your entire setup, please try and let us know about your findings :)

Once I receive a new power conditioner, I will post my findings here!

I'm not sure about it being harmful but in my case, it seems random. There are times when I get no humming whatsoever, and other times when it hums and there doesn't seem to be any specific pattern as to when it will happen, at least not in my home.

Yes, me too. It is very inconsistent so it's hard to isolate which appliance sets it off. I'm worried if it's doing major damage to the equipment all the time or only when it buzzes.

Also, fyi there are conditioners that also have DC offset built-in. But I have no experience with any.

It depends on a listener really. Some people will find buzzing related to DC as annoying, while others won't even notice or pay any attention to it.

It's not harmful but quite frustrating, while buzzing is the sign of that specific issue :)

Hi folks I have a new audio setup I recently acquired and I have this toroidal hum in the amp but its also heard in the speakers! Like my atc scm40 has a hum in the sub and noise in the mid and also a funny wizzzuuzzzzz in the tweeter! Well I don't remember hearing that at the shop where I bought it and I do also hear a hum buzzz on the amp it self when I put my ear on it.

Its not loud the noise coming from my speakers but I can hear it at super quiet night sessions or when I put my ear near to it.

I dont believe having a ground loop but more like something is related to the amp capturing something from the dc?

Will the dc blocker help me with this strange problem?

My system is
Speakers Atc scm40 passive
Naim nait xs3 amp
Naim HiCap power supply
Naim nd5 x dac

Furutech empire power cables and an Furutech powerbar e-tp86

It's possible, but without having this amp it's difficult for us to say. Upon touching its enclosure do you feel any static?

I have a question maybe someone has a similar issue on Naim and I to ask if DC Blocker could be a solution.

I have a Naim NDX 2 and a Uniti Atom HE, they make some buzz when powered on the power supply, the NDX 2 in the living roon does not bug me that much because is far away from my ears, but the uniti HE is very close and the buzz is bugging me a lot.

My question is, will the DC Blocker from IFi eliminate this buzz from the power supply?

Thanks for your reply.

If your power supply makes a buzzing noise, this is most likely due to a DC offset and our DC Blocker was designed to handle that. It won't hurt trying one in your case. Thanks!

I received the DC Blocker today, unfortunately did not remove the noise, as the Naim Uniti Atom HE is brand new and could be faulty. I will take it to the dealer for a possible evaluation and unit exchange.

I have to add that the DC Blocker is a very convenient solution, connecting it in the end of a cable is an impressive design.

Just an update, the Uniti was considered defective out from the box by the dealer. It will be exchanged for another.

Im no expert Im just curious about headphone safety first.

I just observed this ifi dc blocker did not improve dc offset or make it worse on my headphone amp so I did not use. But here is the question.

I measured following with brymen 829s: Balanced XLR4. Take it as roughly.

Volume 00 = 0.02-0.03mV
Volume 70 = 0.03-0.05mV ear damage levels.
Volume 100 = 0.10-0.20mV

On ifi site it says up to 1.2mV

What does that mean?
