Introducing Shanling M0 - Nano sized Hi-Res player. LDAC BT support, Sabre ES9218p

Well that would be a deal breaker. Half the point of buying the M1 was being able to use my phone for prep work and music transfer. I'll pass if I have to use my computer again. Got all excited for nothing. :triportsad:

I'm not 100% sure how you are using... I've never used Hiby Link, but understand that it allows you to control the DAP from your phone using a bluetooth (hiby link) connection. Don't think Hiby link lets you transfer music to the DAP. but I could be wrong.

Unsure if the M0's Bluetooth will allow you to play music files from your phone to the M0. Aptx is OK (if you phone has it). Aptx HD is a lot better, but few phones have it today, and even less DAPs... I thought I saw that APTX HD (Regular APTX and LDAC) were part of Android OREO, so more phones may get that soon.

I may be missing what you're trying to do. Not having Hiby Link should not make a difference in how phone or computer will connect to the M0, either by Usb cable or bluetooth. Just means you can't remotely control the DAP, M0 in this case.

The app allows you to create playlists which is a tedious thing to do on the player itself, even more so in something the size of the M0. The app would be a bit of a waste if all it did was act as a remote control.

And you don't transfer music via the app (though that would be nice). You transfer via the phone's file manager when plugged into your phone with a Usb-c to Usb-c cable.

And funny... I'm just west of Philly.

Seems to be a nice dap for Gym. With a good magnetic clasp, this could be a very good transport as well for Chord Mojo.

At this size I hope there is a third party strap to wear it on your wrist. Kinda like the iPod nano.

Will be a good Gym buddy. If it shows time as well then I dont mind wearing it as music watch, hope they sell wrist strap with this:)

I used to wear my iPod Nano as a watch. Worked somewhat reasonably but could be awkward. Either way if I could PayPal Shanling for the M0 I would today. Absolutely love the M1 and a smaller version would be great.

We will have plastic case with metal clip on the back. We chose this as the best overall solution, that can serve in very wide range of situations(on shirt, belt, arm band, watch strap,....)

Everybody I met at last Canjam was thinking about wearing it as watch, and while it's nice idea when using with BT headphones, it's quite challenging with cables. But with our clip case you can easily pop M0 right on your watches and give it a go.

.

That's a shame. .I have hiby link on the cayin n3 and it is very handy when dealing with small daps.

Just because it's not based on HiBy software doesn't mean there will not be some similar app.

And you don't transfer music via the app (though that would be nice). You transfer via the phone's file manager when plugged into your phone with a Usb-c to Usb-c cable.

You can connect M0 to phone and transfer files just fine.

Any pics of the clip?

Will the app be available at launch?

Thanks for clarifying.

It would be great if it had a similar app to control like hiby link does on your phone.
This for me is a big plus for any dap as most people use their phone very frequently nowadays and can be cumbersome to pull a wired dap out of your pocket, it's also great when raining as most phones are waterproof and the obvious when a dap is tiny and has fiddly control's.

Will make a great transport for mojo.
