Can anyone describe the intrinsic character of the Zu Pivot?

Also, how well does it synergize with an RME Digi96/8 PAD (I have a Grado 1/4 to 1/8 adapter from my Grado SR 60 headphones)?

And do you think a 1/4 to 1/8 headphone adapter is a better (i.e. less signal degradation) than a 1/4 to RCA adapter?

Good upper detail, slightly hollow lower midrange/upper bass, a more open 'soundstage', good solid bass with good bass detail.

Compared to a cheapo cable the Pivot has more detail and slightly better bass.

I dont think that would be the cable, maybe your source or amp or somthing.

Does anyone know how the Pivot would compare to an AR Pro Seriers cable, it is semi cheapo at around $20......

I've had both. The Pivot is brighter sounding, and more revealing. The AR Pro cable is darker sounding, however it has good solid mids and bass. I liked the AR Pro, but I'm a detail freak. I found myself enjoying the Pivot more when I owned it.
