I don't know where else to ask this, but I want to buy a pair of headphones from a headfi member in In The Netherlands. I live in the US. Neither of us really know how to deal with international shipping, duties, insurance, customs etc. could anyone here explain this stuff to me? i know it's boring, but i don't know where else to look heh.
thanks in advance.

I've got more specific questions about the same thing.

If you sent it as a gift, does the person in the US have to pay custom duties anyway?

I assume there is a amount where you don't have to pay those duties. What is the highest value you can sent without having to pay custom duties etc.? My post office said it is €100 but I think they must have meant $100. Is that right, $100?

Can a mod please move this to Members lounge? Think Outside isn't the right forum for it. Thanks!
