Today I was looking in eBay for prices for the Topping D50, which I am considering buying, and I found this:

Price is the same as the Topping, DAC is the same (ES9038) and it looks well finished.

It has one advantage over the D50: it has internal, apparently linear power supply. The Topping D50 supply is external and the internal regulation is switching type.

Has anyone tried this DAC? Any comparisons anywhere?

It could go either way: a switching power supply may be more noisy on the Topping, or the transformer mounted inside the case may leak hum or other noise on the Douk.

One thing I was wrong with: there are shielded inductors close to several chips, so in spite of the transformer the supply seems to be switching type and not linear.

In fact only a listening comparison with the Topping and measurements might show something.
