Hey guys, I've been interested in learning slide guitar lately. Not like pedal steel, or resonator, but playing an electric with a finger slide. I don't know anything about it though, so I'm hoping some of you guys might have ventured into this area of guitar playing. First off, what type of slide sounds best? I know there are glass slides, pyrex ones, ceramic and metal ones. Also, is there any truth to handmade wine bottle slides being superior in tone to manufactured ones? I like that tone Roy Rogers gets. Any help at all is appreciated!
