Interest Check: Twin Cities Meet
Jul 3, 2003 at 5:55 PM Post #16 of 34
Well, guys, I essentially lost the last week as my Dad has been in an ICU in Tucson, AZ. I'm going to have to see how he sorts out before scheduling anything else. Looks like we have possible interest from 8 or 9 people and some other scheduling issues at this point.

I might be able to come. If you're pressed for sources, I could bring my laptop + Sonica. I don't have that much to bring...V6s, Jung multiloop, maybe an A47 by that time, maybe a Sony D-33 as well.

Hey, I'd like to come. I live in St Paul. I could bring a couple of META MINTS so you can hear the BUF634 in a META-type config. Unfortuantely, I only have HP280PRO that anyone would be interested in listening to. Unless they wanted to listen to the HP170 and be in awe of the sound from a measley $20 headphone. Oh, plus I have a Creative JukeBox3 as a low-end source. I suppose I could put some .wav file on it, though.

Anyway, I suppose I'm interested, pending more information.

So what's the status of this meet? If it's not gonna happen before labor day than I'll just wait for the Chicago meet (shorter drive), which looks to be Octoberish.

I didn't see this thread the 1st time around, but if anything should ever happen for a Twin Cities meet, I am in as well.

I am in Shakopee. I don't have much, but could bring a 963SA, maxed out META42, & HD-600s.

Yeah, I'd still be up for a meet as well. If we could have one I could bring Sr225, AKG 240S, AKG 271, A900, CD1700, Ultrasone Trackmaster, Hp890, 250-80, HD590, a maxed meta, D-EJ2000, Sr60, D66 and my computer tower with a Revolution installed.

As you can see I've bought many more phones since my earlier replies to this thread--right now I feel a little like someone whose name begins with Joe and ends with wood.

I'd love to meet some fellow head-fi people. Does anyone want to host? I'd offer but I live about 5 hours away from the Twin Cities and I'd doubt people would want to drive that far to hang out in my one bedroom apartment.

I'd be interested, too. I owe the laplanders a road trip. Anywhere from mid-Jan on would be interesting to me.

You just want to hook up again with the cheerleaders from the tour. I guess your back is feeling better.

I'll see what I can do.
