I could take some time and to a pretty comprehensive how-to on making DIY interconnects (RCA, Mini's and Mini-to-RCA's) if there is enough interest.

I use a gold connectors -> 4/9 copper -> teflon/foil/teflon job that sounds really decent, and can be made for $10-$15 each. Would be lengthy, and a mix of design theory and precise instructions. I know this is not the DIY board, but this is where the cable guys read.

I would have some time to post next week if enough people are into it. It is a good place to start for the solder-impaired types (counting myself among them!) before jumping to DIY amp building.

I have just finished my K1000 cable, and I am really interested in making my own interconnects. Your tutorial will be very helpful.

Yeah this is cool. It's a good experience making your own stuff and cables are easiest and cheapest way to change and improve sound.

I will work something up and post it next week.

I will post the full instructions in DIY, and an info blurb here.

BTW, If anyone is interested in doing a serious listening test for one of my Mini->RCA "pigtail" cords, let me know. I would appreciate a third-party comparison by someone who has listened to various cables and has a decent setup.

TIA,

GnD
