I am looking for an integrated amp to drive my UE9s and speakers for a desktop system. I was wondering if anyone could make suggestions or comment on amps like the Cary 300B integrated which seems like an obvious choice. This system would be approx. 75/25 use between speakers/headphone.

Thanks!

Try a Yamamoto HA-02 with Zu Credenzas speakers for near field listening on your desktop. Zu has a really nice couple of desktop type speakers that you should be able to drive with the Yamamoto. Of course you are talking money with either of these. http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/zu11/credenza.html

I was going to order the Yamamoto (and still may), but then I was told about the wait. So I started thinking about other options that could maybe get speakers into the mix. I had actually not considered the Zu line. I've never heard them.... but interesting! I was thinking more along the lines of a Spendor or Harbeth monitor for my desktop.

Speaking of unheard speakers - these look interesting too: http://www.sjofnhifi.com/servlet/Detail?no=3. But I'm sure they would require more than the HA-02.

I have a 6-month old SQ-84 with upgraded tubes FS, PM me if you're interested. I'm easy on price and have outstanding feedback on agon. I only have 25 posts so can't list it in the FS forum. Silly, eh?
