As for the headphone amp part, specific questions will get you better answers. Your post sounds like, "what should I build?" Pretty vague. How much money can you spend on the whole project? What is the quality of your source and headphones? What have you built before? Would you be willing to build something small and simple to get started, and then move on to the big project?
