I recently got pure music and it made a improvement in sound over itunes. I wanted to know peoples experience using Integer-mode vs hog mode and memory playback by themselves. Does this extra mode improve the sound by using the native format vs the computers core audio? I believe bit perfect is also capable of this function.

To utilize integer mode you must select hog mode too. Hog mode can bring about some challenges if switching music players; usually need to restart the system. However, if just using PM it's the best way to go in my opinion.
Integer mode in my system is noticeably clearer and with what seems to be a lower noise floor. Of course, you need a DAC that can receive integer data..... I have a REGA dac which does.
I tried up sampling (dsp disabled in integer mode) and didn't find that as good. My experience with my system ....
