hey gang,
just picked up a second ps-1 (thanks teik) and it sounds fantastic..the only issue is that it has the infamous grado cord twisting in some portions of the cord. i straigtened it out so there is no tension but the cable looks like it has been twisted. functionally it is still perfect and sounds awesome. i guess i could leave it like this but was wondering if anyone had a fix for this common problem. also considered sending it to grado labs for a new cable but i thought they might not do anything since it still works perfectly and is just cosmetic. thanks in advance

it is straight now..but some parts look like twizzlers because of being twisted in the past..how to get rid of that?

"just picked up a second ps-1"

Some people are worse than others.

With 2 pair the obvious thing to do is have one re-cabled and do some direct comparisons. While not a fan of re-cabling myself with 2 headphones and the ability to have them re-cabled and still have the factory warranty = an interesting experiment.
