Hi All,

I absolutely love my AD700's for gaming and most music, but I've finally grown tired of trying to use crappy desk microphones.  I bought the V-Mode BoomPro mic, which fits in my UE6000s and works beautifully, but the UE's are just nowhere near as comfortable as the AD700s (they make my ears hot), nor do they have anywhere near the soundstage.

So!  What I'd like to find, if possible, is a headphone with similar comfort to the AD700s (foam ear pads; open), and similar sound as well (very open and detailed, with maybe better bass).

I'm interested in the Philips Fidelio X1s, but they're a bit out of my price range at the moment.  I don't suppose there is anything <$100 that would satisfy all of the above?

Thanks in advance!

according to MLE's guide these are compatible with the BoomPro

Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro
Focal Spirit Pro, Classic (need confirmation)
M-Audio Q40
Monster DNA On Ear, DNA Pro
MrSpeakers Mad Dog (single ended version)
NAD Viso HP50
Nuforce HP800
Philips Fidelio X1
Skullcandy Aviator
Vmoda M80, M100, LP2

I think KOSS PRODJ200 is also compatible(a great closed headphone that has a great soundstage with M50's pads)
I would guess that the CAL!2 with a 2.5m male to 3.5 female adapter would be compatible as well, but not sure...
