Increasing volume on GS-1?

I have the gain switch on the front set to high but still at full volume its not as loud as other amps ive tried.

Is there an internal gain adjustment?

Wow what source are you using? My Reference is going in to drop the gain to 3x since I can't go past 8 o'oclock at 8x gain and you can reach full? I'd look at your source output levels.

What kind of phones do you have plugged into it? With my HD650 and GS-1 set to high gain, the volume is dangerously loud past the 12 o'clock position.

source is an emu 1212m, the volume in the DSP control pannel is set to 0 (normal).
Headphones are the HD650s, its plenty loud for me but other people that listen to my stuff say they want more volume.

You could always load a +4dB session in patchmix. That would give you 14dB more volume.
