That price is wild! No class A no discreet circuit amplifier, no dual power/battery for individual circuit, no r2r custom circuit - why is it so crazy expensive? Where did the money go - oled screen?

It makes happy that I bought the M6 pro 21 instead for $633.00 durning musictecks Black Friday sale. Since a lot of these devices don’t have easy replaceable batteries imho it’s crazy to spend that much on them.
I like how the Cayin C9 is designed with a common battery type that will be replaceable for many years to come. Wish more company would offer that type of option.

Me too, I bought the M6 pro 21 , got all the features you will need in a dap, its small for portable daily use and sounds the best compared to other daps in the same price. And the amp is very powerful as well, can drive big headphones no problem. Bargain price to performance. M9 I tried it at the store, pretty big and heavy, sounds clean, although already on sale for 18800HKD, thats more than 3.5x the price of the M6 pro 21. M9 nice but not so nice price, way toooo high honestly. Tough competition, Fiio M17 for way less at $15500HKD with more desktop/portable features is better imo.
