Hi,

I am looking for some in-ears.

Previously I owned Ultimate Ears Super Fi studio 3, which I liked most. Unfortunately
they broke. I bought a second pair, which also broke. Now they are no longer offered
and UE became part of LogiTech, which is known for keyboards and mice.
Then I bough T-Bone EP6, which sound...how should I call it....boring(?).
Then I bought a pair of Meze 11 classic. NO! It was my fault.
MUCH to much bass.

Most of the time I hear music with vocal parts, guitar, flute, etc....
I fear it will sound too much like "german english" if I call this music "melody acccentuated" in
opposite to "rythm accentuated"...?!?! I also hear to electronic music ("Berlin school": Klaus Schulze,
Tangering Dream, Jean Michel Jarre).
But also I listen to Folk/FolkJazz/Jazz?Progressive Rock by
Pentangle, Anglagard, Eberhard Schoener, Jan Garbarek, Ougenweide, Renaissance....

What I really NOT like are in ears which bass overides any other tune of the music.
I definitley dont need in-ears which "default equalizer settings" or in other words: A
flat frequency response (as far as it makes sense in this context) is, for what I am searching
for. I do like clear and crisp high frequencies. A good bass for me is dry and deep BUT not overwelming
and dominant.

I am using a Sansa Clip Zip (rockboxed). And it would be a perfect solution, if I would not need to use
my CMoyBB to connect the new in ears.

Other things I would like are:
solid build quality
comfortable
changeable cable (if possible)

Price tag is 130 EUR max.

Is there any solution to this problem?
Thank you very much in advance for any help!
Best regards,
mccc

Hi billybob_jcv

thanks for you reply! :)

Yes I read about the Etymotic HF5. Never actually used them/heard them.
What I read (and what me make unsure about them) is:
* small soundstage
* you need to put them very deep into you ear canal
* dont look very solid (for my eyes, but I am open to be conviced of the opposite...:arguments?)

Any alternatives?

Best regards,
mcc
