I’m looking for a pair of over ear closed back headphones that are highly detailed and not too bassy, google has been no help and couldn’t think of a better place to ask then here

What's your budget?
The Fostex TH610 and TR-X00 Ebony are neutral. Another option is the Denon D5200. All of those can be had around $350 used.
Moving up in price, there's the Denon D9200, Focal Stellia, and others.

Semi closed and leaks less than most closed backs and knocks spots off of the aeon flowLook into a used Aeon Flow closed

meh...the T1 was the first real headphone I ever had way back when. I'd take the AFC everyday over the T1, unless of course one prefers excess treble and upper mids.Semi closed and leaks less than most closed backs and knocks spots off of the aeon flow

You can have a clear highly detailed headphone without using excessive and spikey upper mids to give the illusion of detail.
I'm not a fan of the AFC either. It's too bass light and textureless for my tastes, but "muddy" it's not.

The Focal Stellia are definitely out of budget but how would you rate them compared to competitors both open and closed back in a similar price range, their marketing makes it seem like a prefect match that I'm willing to save forWhat's your budget?

The Stellia is the kind of headphone you should listen to before buying--it does a lot well but it has some issues. Not as easy for me to recommend as the Denon D9200.The Focal Stellia are definitely out of budget but how would you rate them compared to competitors both open and closed back in a similar price range, their marketing makes it seem like a prefect match that I'm willing to save for

my vote goes for a second hand ZMF Eikon - might be slightly over budget though

Over-ear closed back, highly detailed, and not too bassy - You have just described an Audeze LCD XC. If you can be flexible with your budget, you might see one pop up in the classifieds for around 800 ish.
Don't LCD's have a reputation for being heavy and uncomfortable?Over-ear closed back, highly detailed, and not too bassy - You have just described an Audeze LCD XC. If you can be flexible with your budget, you might see one pop up in the classifieds for around 800 ish.

Heavy? Yes, definitely. Uncomfortable? I'm not so sure, I never had any comfort issues with any of the LCD series. The suspension strap headband distributed the weight pretty evenly, and the stock pads were really soft.Don't LCD's have a reputation for being heavy and uncomfortable?
