Hello,
I decided to build myself a new computer this month. I chose the ASUS Maximus VI Hero motherboard which comes with integrated SupremeFX sound. However, I'm looking for something better. I would like to purchase both a soundcard/amp and a pair of headphones that will suit me well. For a budget, I'm looking at no more than $700 (possibly flexible).
For the most part, I play games, listen to lots of music, and watch tons of videos/films. I would like top notch audio quality for this. For gaming, I would like to have the ability to "sound whore" with a very comfortable headphone that I can wear for several hours at a time. I was looking into the AKG K702 Annies, or possibly the AKG Q701s, but wanted to get another opinion. As for a sound card/amp, I'm really not sure what to look for from a hardware standpoint.
Thanks!
