I hope all this disappointment will wither away in next couple of weeks once everyone gets their much anticipated IEMs. In my opinion, getting a perfect IEM is a never ending journey especially for us head-fiers :) .Once your initial excitement gets settled for a new device, we start looking for new thing without actually thoroughly enjoying what we have at hand. There is no harm in this though. After all, this is what we called hobby, right?

While we are talking about specification change without notification, I would like to share one of my bad experience when I pre-ordered Phantom Master 6 from Trinity audio. it was advertised as having two dynamic drivers and four sonion BA drivers. I received mine after a rigorous follow-up of 4 months. By the time I received it, Bob had already announced his departure from Trinity audio. I needed some fund, so decided to sell it here in classifieds stating all the original specs mentioned in the trinity site. However, when the fellow head-fier received the IEM and told me that there were no BA drivers in there.it was only two dynamic drivers. He accused me of lying to him and opened a case in paypal. It was a shock for me. However, we mutually agreed to settle the case for just $50 and it was closed. I hold owners of Trinity audio for this cheating not Bob.I shared this with Bob and he was shocked too.

Hope you will all get your IMR products soon and immerse in it pure magical sound.

Wow... This brings back bad memories for me and ultimately the reason I've been extremely skeptical with IMR. At least you got SOME iem even though it didn't contain the drivers as advertised. I never received mine and never got a refund either. One benefit for the manufacturer that the preorder business model has is that with 6 months of waiting you reach a point where you can no longer file a PayPal claim to get your money back. Bob's sales model at Trinity has carried over to IMR for sure. It saddens me to read this thread now because it feels like deja Vu with the same shipping delays and lack of transparency all over again. History does tend to repeat itself...

I can't say whether the Trinity debacle had anything to do with Bob, but it seems questionable that early on, Trinity seemed to be all Bob then when the s*** hit the fan all of the blame was suddenly deflected by Bob to others and he was just a Trinity employee. Yet, there was talk of the company being owned by his wife or something shady like that, which I never confirmed for myself so throw that into the rumor mill. I guess what I am saying is if your gut tells you to ask for a refund, do it as you are completely justified in doing so.

Between shipping delays, dodgy communication, stellar initial reviews, Bob’s magic vs his business practices, and to a large extent the enigma that is IMR…there’s a lot of interest, especially now there seems to be at least some light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.
