Oh, that is really bad! . I am really sorry to hear that, I thought I happened to the brand that they had before IMR.

Did they just vanish with the money ?, I bought mostly through their Ebay Website, because you can always ask eBay for refund. I was afraid at the beginning.
The owner of the company has now been at the centre of 2 companies who have taken money for products but not delivered the goods. Both times leaving customers out of pocket for thousands

Yes the first company was Trident where Bob was an engineer if i remember correctly so noboby really knows how much he eas involved in the bad practice of taking peoples money for products which they didn't receive!
Unfortunately IMR was Bobs baby and he was creater, engineer,CEO ect.. So there is no excuse or "maybe's" like with Trident!
But, "I" would still like to know what "Really" happened with IMR and how much of it was down to Bob "Solely"? As I've said on numerous occasions(which a lot of people disagree with and quiet rightly when you have been had for £1000's) i don't think Bob woke up one morning and decided to blindly rob his "loyal" customers out of thousands, its just not the Bob i knew and I'm positive there is more to it than meets the eye!
BUT? if you look at it from another angle that he had been involved in "both" companies which ended exactly the same, the optics aren't great and normally when you put 2 & 2 together you get 4!

I want to try and agree with parts of this but my understanding ifnTrinity was that Bob was a bit more than just an engineer and that there was some 'strange' working s on the company directorship etc

IMR - like you say is more clear cut and I agree that I don't think he decided one day to steal from his customers however he did orders and money for non existent products when he was already not fulfilling orders on other products
This is more cagey and feels more like straight forward theft as at this point he would've known he was struggling

To be clear, not defending Bob, but I'm guessing he got caught in the same storm of preorders being paid for up front then the bill of manufacture / goods / shipping going up to leave him negative on the orders again, just like the events that eventually sank Trinity.

Cue taking on more preorders to try and buy his way out of the problem, until eventually the house of cards fell down. Same sort of mentality with dreamers and gambling addicts - they know they are in trouble and need to stop and sort things out, but they always chase that last "big win" to put themselves back in the black. Sadly this played out with other people's money not his own.

Echo the sentiment about his design work though - it is a shame we won't have more "IMR house sound" IEMs in the market, but the only way any sane person will buy one now is if it was backed by a company that actually knows how to run an IEM business, and doesn't do preorders.

Again kind of hard to disagree but still wrong and still criminal/fraudulent behaviour. There comes a point when he has to take responsibility and admit he has stolen people's money, no matter the cause, that's what he has done.

Don't think anybody disputes his skill as an engineer but that means nothing to those who have given him money and don't have a product or their money back

True - not defending him. He should have stopped before screwing people over, but he didn't. Such a shame.
