I have the Fiio E7/E9 combo and while it seems to have the power to drive most of my cans it struggles a bit with my HD580s. I notice this by having to adjust the volume to get the best dynamic balance. I can cure this by using the GAIN switch but that affects the SQ. I have also read that having an amp that will drive the Senns efficiently will remove that sense of 'veil' you can get with these cans.

So is it possible to improve on the Fiio setup with a budget of between $200 - $400? I listen to a lot of classical music - especially piano - but DeadMau5, Deep House and similar are also part of my musical diet.

I have the Holographic Ear One that I use with my Senns and love it, very transparent
