Here's something I'm not sure about : Does the soundcard have any importance when using a DAC through USB with a computer ?

I mean, is it okay to have the cheapest soundcard ever, will it bypass it ?

I know that Asio4All let any sound cards use asio drivers but should I install it even if I'm only using the DAC ? Do they need asio drivers too ?

If you use a DAC by USB-input, then the soundcard is bypassed and has nothing to do with the DAC.
