Impedance of the Grado HP-1000?

The driver matching for the higher end Grados is quite poor even though they're said to be matched at .05dB. That number doesn't tell you whether it's .05dB throughout the spectrum or at one or two frequencies or what. Does anyone know how exactly they're matched?

that's an interesting statement. why do you say that the driver matching of upper echelon grados is poor? i've not heard anything to suggest that. what i have heard is unit to unit variation within a (John Grado) model line while comparing rs-1s and rs-2s. Joe's (which were personally built by John) hp1000s seem more closely aligned with differences being attributable to other factors.
