I have ordered a pair of triple fi 10 pros, which state:
Impedance 32 ohms nominal (at 1khz)
I am planning on getting the cowon u3 which has:
Max Output 16 Ohm earphones : 30mW + 30mW
How is one supposed to read these details? How can you know if the audio player you buy will be "enough" to drive the headphones/earphones you buy?
The reason I ask is because it seems many people on this forum use a portable amp in their setup, so - if you're going to buy an amp anyway and use the lineout from a device, is all that matters on the audio device itself it's storage size, file format support, etc? (The headphone jack's output not being an issue anymore?)
I'm trying to plan, ideally, for a setup with these IEMs that won't require an amp, and was also looking at that kenwood that was linked here recently. I've ordered the IEM's and am really looking to get a setup for them that will do them justice, I guess.
Thanks pre emptively for any responses!
