I recently bought a pair of T50rp's to figure out what all the fuss was about modding them. My initial impressions were that the bass was bloated and the whole thing had no detail. I covered the inside of the cups with dynamat and stuffed some cotton balls inside. It brought out a ton of detail! I was very impressed with the improvement, but it came at a massive cost: there was no bass! No impact and almost no presence (It was all mids). I was wondering what would improve the bass response (and in turn make them more comfortable and increase isolation). Thus the alpha pads come to mind. However, I cannot find a thread talking about the impact of such on an almost stock pair of t50rp's. Can anyone give me some information? Thanks!
