Did you try tro compare an Imod Vs a PCDP?

I own a PDCP Sony D25S, and for sure it's smoked by any well choosen 500 dollars home CD deck. I've learned not to trust hifi reviewers, but the guy form 6moons state that the Imod works as well as any home deck under 1500 dollars. There's probably some exageration in it, but i wonder if this Imod would beat (with wav files of course) the Discman D25.

You might send your inquiry to Ken at ALO via the ALO forum here on head-fi. He sells both iMod and NOS D25's, so should have some good input for you if you're trying to make a decision.

Exactly what i did! He replied : "I prefer the imod when using a Vcap dock over the CD player".

I simultaneously owned a 4G iMod w/ my DCP-150, and I found the Denon to be superior when using the line-out.
