I saw a listing on sales forum that a modded ipod 5G can install the capacitor inside by chopping off the headphone jack..
I wanna try this mod as well..but not sure how to solder the capacitor's +/- to the board...
Could you guys give me some hints?

Thanks for the link & advise .. I saw that before but it doesnt show how to put the capacitor in.
I already installed the cap inside the case..but the sound is a little bit weird, so I am wondering if I solder the capacitor wrong.. (Or maybe need some time to burn in?)

You can put the caps in the pod without loosing the headphone out.
There are two ways to do this, remove HD rubber/plastic bumpers locally and squeeeeeze elna silmic II's up against the bottom edge (they can fit)......OR get an 80GB backplate (deeper).

.... not so much of a squeeze!

Which caps did you use? Where did you place them? Photo's?

OK cool, justa thought though... you could have wired the caps wrong (+ to the DAC)
...or the caps could be shorting to the case maybe?
