I did jump on these and got billed for $149.99 shipped. They arrived packed well and were definitely new.
These definitely bring out the details more than the V-Moda Vibes I've been using, although this is all on 256KB AAC's from iTunes converted to 320KB CBR MP3's on a Cowon S9 (2.51 firmware)...maybe I'll rip some stuff to FLAC or something and do a comparison where the source isn't compressed.
All in all, way better pricepoint for these than the $250 USD they've been selling at.

Just because they are second in the lineup, the X5s are vastly underrated, IMO.
They should be compared (and quite favorably) with other top of the line phones.

The are actually more detailed that the stock speakers in my truck ('03 Ranger) going through an KDC-X993 I put in there. That surprised me.
I can definitely see how low bitrate audio with these would not be advisable. What one could never distinguish/hear on the V-Moda Vibes, these would bring out.
For sure one needs good bitrate music using these...or, not so great ears...
