I recently noticed that if I click on an image in a post, which displays a larger version of the image, when I close that image, I'm taken either to the top of the page that I'm currently viewing or sometimes it takes me back to the very first post in the thread.
 
Using the latest version of Firefox.

Try another browser.  There are some things FireFox wlil not do well.  Have you seen the issue when you edit your own post and it will not let you click in the text field until you exit the window then return?
