Thinking about getting a dedicated computer to hook up to my Yggy/Woo Audio WA 5 LE and eventual Stratus. Using iTunes/audirvana with USB with Wyrd and Regen as well as a thunderbolt external drive to house the music. Any difference using either an iMac vs an Apple laptop as a source?

Why would a Mac Book Pro sound better? The output from any computer or device would be same as from any other computer device.

I've debated doing this. I have a 2007 Macbook that I only retired because of it's **** battery life. If plugged in all of the time it would be fine and probably perfectly suited to feeding a DAC as a source.

I've always preferred Macbooks, simply because of the portability. I'll lay down some tracks in my studio, then keep Logic running and bring it into my kitchen, plug it into speakers, and listen while I'm doing chores.
