Appearance is one big reason I picked HD650 over HD600.
I still think HD650 is one of the most beautiful headphone available
on the market, though Audio Technica phones have the best craftsmanship.

I haven't seen HD600 in person though, so I can't really comment on that.
But HD650 definitely looks better on picture.

The first, but mainly cause I like the lower fascia on it better.

And as for the HD600, not of the fan of the design marble paint or not, but it wouldn't sway my buying decision.

lol, in person i find the hd600's to look better than hd650's. the silver color scheme of the hd650 make them look plasticy and cheap to me.

Yes I agree the HD600 is fairly hideous, but I like the look of the K701 which isn't popular either. When putting my HD650 next to my K701 it's fairly obvious the HD650 didn't cost more to manufacture, unless the drivers are "wearin' gold-plated diapers". For a headphone that costs over $300, the HD650 looks kind of "cheapo" to me. The sound is growing on me for some albums though. At the same time, it's still not safe from my "soon to be for sale bin".

I think the hd600 looks pretty decent in person. I like the looks better than many other headphones (beyers, grados, most AKG, some ATH, most sony).

I can think of far worse-looking cans than the Senns. Bar the marbled frame on the HD-600, I think the Senns have an overall good look.
